Achilles V. Constantakopoulos is Managing Director of TEMES, a company based in Athens, Greece, which is a premier developer of luxury mixed-use resorts in the Mediterranean.

Costa Navarino is its flagship development in one of the most stunning seaside landscapes in Greece. With Costa Navarino, located in the region of Messinia in southwest Peloponnese, TEMES is creating a new world-class destination, the first of its kind in Greece, spanning an area in excess of 2,500 acres and will include luxury resort hotels, multiple golf courses and high-end private residences.

At the heart of the company’s business philosophy is its strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility with the aim of creating sustainable tourism development in harmony with the nature and traditions of each destination.

In addition, Mr. Constantakopoulos is managing Director of COSTATERRA an investment and real estate company in Greece, and he is on the Boards of Directors of a number of family owned companies as well as a diverse number of major corporations in Greece.

A native of Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese, Mr. Constantakopoulos has been active in the development of Costa Navarino since he was a young man, sharing the vision of his father, Captain Vasilis Constantakopoulos. Together, father and son are bringing to fruition one of the most bold, forward-looking, and innovative projects in the Mediterranean region.

Achilles cares passionately about his native land and is committed to positioning Messinia and Costa Navarino as locations deserving global recognition for their hospitality, quality of infrastructure and facilities, service, and natural beauty.

Achilles is a proud member of the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Endowment Fund, dedicated to advancing the Orthodox faith and Hellenic ideals in America.

Mr. Constantakopoulos is also a Member of YPO—Young Presidents’ Organization, whose core mission is to develop “Better Leaders Through Education and Idea Exchange” and is comprised of more than 20,000 leaders in 100 countries. YPO is the world’s largest network of peers that connects members to exchange ideas, pursue learning, and share strategies to achieve personal growth and professional success.

In Greece, Mr. Constantakopoulos is a member of Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy, the premiere think tank in the country that provides a forum for public debate on issues of European integration and international relations, contributing to a better informed public and documented knowledge of the European and international environment.

His presence on the Boards of Directors of companies in Greece reflects his interest and commitment to corporate governance, management excellence, and the economic development of Greece. He is on the Boards of CostaMare Shipping Company, Ciel Ship Management, GeoHellas S.A., Aegean Airlines, Amathus Hellas, Cybarco plc (Cyprus), Cybarco (Greece), Emporiki Bank and Lamda Development.

Mr. Constantakopoulos is a graduate of Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland; Lycée Bellevue, Toulouse, France; and Lycée Leonin, Athens, Greece.

An avid sports enthusiast, Achilles participates in ProAm golf tournaments, enjoys exploring both mountain and marine environments, and is proactive in preserving the unique ecosystems that surround Costa Navarino.
