Nikolaos (Nikos) Koumettis was named President of Coca-Cola, Ltd. on June 1, 2008. Prior to his current role, Mr. Koumettis served five years as President of the Adriatic and Balkans Business Unit, where he developed the business in nine diverse countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Croatia. He joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2001 as Southeast Mediterranean Region General Manager, with responsibility for Greece and Cyprus.
Before joining the Company, Mr. Koumettis served in marketing roles with Kraft Jacobs Suchard; sales and distribution roles with a large Greek distribution company, Elgeka; and in commercial and logistics functions for Papastratos S. A. / Philip Morris, the biggest tobacco company in Greece.
He is a member of the Board of Governors for Food & Consumer Products of Canada (FCPC), and a member of the Board of Directors for Refreshment Canada.
Mr. Koumettis holds a Master of Science degree in International Marketing from Strathclyde Business School, and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the American College of Greece.
